Recruit Academy, 5/5 - 7/25/14
The Washington State Fire Training Academy is looking for one to two company officers to participate in a 12-week Officer Development Program during the next Recruit Academy. This program is perfect for current or prospective company officers.
As first line officers, company officers serve a vital role during the Recruit Academy.
Company officers work directly with the Recruit Academy Coordinator and the Recruits to coordinate and deliver day to day training activities. Company officers will have the opportunity to increase their supervisory experience in delegation, daily planning, fire ground command roles, employee evaluations, and personnel issues. Opportunities exist to test for IFSAC Officer I or other IFSAC certifications while participating in the company officer program.
Dates: The 2014-02 Company Officers Orientation is April 28, 2014. The 2014-02 Recruit Academy Orientation is May 1 – 2, 2014. The 2014-02 Recruit Academy begins May 5 and ends July 25, 2014. The Recruit Academy is scheduled Monday through Thursday (unless a holiday week then Tuesday through Friday).

IFSAC exam(s) on a case-by-case basis.
