The City of Grand Island, a community of more than 48,000 residents, is seeking a highly organized, strategic planner with exceptional leadership and management skills to lead the Fire Department. The City of Grand Island offers a great wage and benefit package.
Requirements include: Seven years of increasingly responsible command and supervisory experience in a paid fire department with emergency medical services including five years of administrative responsibility. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in fire science, fire administration, business administration, public administration, or a closely related field is required. Graduation from National Fire Academy Executive Officer Development Program is preferred. Residency required. Post-offer/pre-employment physical and drug screen.
