Missouri Valley Division President Sandy Schiess, Chief of the Independence, Missouri Fire Department announces the endorsement of Chief John deHooge, Ottawa Canada, for the IAFC 2nd Vice President 2012.  The Board of Directors endorsed Chief deHooge for 2nd VP of the IAFC 2012 at their winter board meeting.  The Board voted for the endorsement during the winter meeting as the electronic election will be closed prior to its annual conference. 

Chief Schiess encourages all members of the Missouri Valley Division to vote in the election for 2nd VP of the IAFC. "When members exercise their voting rights, it allows the entire IAFC to grow in its processes,” stated Schiess.
 

Chief deHooge will bring a broad base of experience in managing multiple size departments, including career and combination fire departments, plus he has an extensive amount of experience serving the IAFC in a variety of roles, including serving as the Canadian Division Director to the IAFC Board of Directors.
