Omaha Fire Dept. battalion chief on paid leave over Facebook content

Omaha Fire Department Interim Chief Dan Olsen announced Monday that Battalion Chief Joseph Salcedo has been placed on paid administrative leave for sharing "inappropriate content on his personal Facebook page." The department released this statement: "It was recently brought to the Omaha Fire Department’s attention that Battalion Chief Joseph Salcedo had shared potentially inappropriate content on his personal Facebook page. After an initial review of this matter by Interim Fire Chief Dan Olsen, the Omaha Fire Department Internal Affairs Office and the City of Omaha Human Resources Department, Battalion Chief Joseph Salcedo has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the completion of this investigation. Due to contractual obligations, the Omaha Fire Department is precluded from providing any additional information regarding the investigation of this personnel matter."
