The remains of five adults were found after a fire burned a Temecula-area residential care facility for developmentally disabled adults, authorities said Tuesday. The Riverside County sheriff’s homicide unit and Cal Fire’s arson unit are investigating the Monday morning fire. While the cause hasn’t been determined, sheriff’s officials have called the fire “suspicious” and the house a crime scene. Officials said the remains are still being identified, but a relative said one of the victims was James Jennex, administrator at Renee Jennex Small Family Home. The adult residential facility at 41450 Cruz Way in Temecula Valley Wine Country is licensed to care for up to four people, ages 18-55, with developmental disabilities.
