A local firefighter and paramedic lost his battle with cancer on Sunday morning.
Kyle Jameson, 34, was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in April of 2015, after a routine physical examination. He underwent chemotherapy treatment, which helped eradicate the cancer from his lymphatic system, but it spread deeper into his bones.
Jameson was told last fall he would need a bone marrow transplant to save his life, and fellow firefighters organized a drive with Be The Match at the Hampton Fire Station in November.
Recently, Jameson was being treated at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City.
Jameson leaves behind a wife, Christine, and a son named Liam, who is less than a year old.
In recent days, Christine documented Jameson’s struggles on social media, saying they needed a miracle.
