It's a follow up to a story FOX10 News told you Thursday night about the controversial and confusing shut down of fire stations in Semmes. Mayor Judy Hale has broken her silence. At a news conference Friday afternoon, Hale blamed the Semmes City Council for what she's calling a "bad move." She explained that now, the city fire department and the volunteer fire department will be separate. They used to share equipment and work together on calls. After that decision at Tuesday's meeting, the doors were locked at two stations and some equipment was put in the hands of the city. Firefighters were confused as to why the stations were closed.
