Sheriff's deputies who pulled over an assistant fire marshal in East Texas for swerving allegedly found him watching porn on the county-owned vehicle's computer while drinking alcohol. Smith County deputies pulled over Oren Hale on Aug. 20, KLTV reports. The incident occurred about 9:20 p.m. on West Northwest Loop 323, near North Broadway Avenue, in Tyler, The Tyler Morning Telegraph reports.
Hale was off duty but on call for Smith County during the incident and was ticketed for failure to maintain a single lane, the paper reports.
As the deputies pulled Hale over and allegedly noticed the porn, one said, "Oh, my God, do you see it? He's not even trying to hide it," according to dash cam footage recently obtained by KLTV.
They pulled him over and told Hale he was all over the road.
Hale said he was looking at the computer.
"We saw what you were looking at," a deputy said. "Probably not a good idea, is it?"
Hale agreed.
