State officials say a Presho volunteer firefighter died of a medical condition at the scene of a weekend fire. According to the South Dakota Fire Marshal's Office, 54-year-old Donald Manger died Saturday while working at a structure fire in rural Lyman County. Authorities say Manger experienced a medical condition, then collapsed to the ground. Responders at the scene immediately started performing CPR. He was taken to a Pierre hospital where he was pronounced dead. No other details about the incident have been released. Manger served as chief of the Presho Volunteer Fire Department.
