The ex-con accused of beating a FDNY firefighter to death in a road-rage incident faced a line of angry Bravest on Tuesday as cops walked him out of a Brooklyn police station.
Joseph Desmond, 29, a reputed Latin Kings gang member, kept his head down as he exited the 62nd Precinct stationhouse in Bath Beach and filed past the silent firefighters. Desmond was formally charged with a second-degree murder in the Dec. 9 road rage death Faizal Coto, a FDNY firefighter who worked out of Engine 245 / Ladder 161 in Brooklyn.
His hands were restrained behind his back with a pair of cuffs that had “E245” stamped on them. Coto, 33, was found lying near his 2008 Ford Mustang on the eastbound shoulder of the Belt Parkway near Exit 4 in Bath Beach around 4:45 a.m. with trauma to his head and face and some damage to his car, police said.
