Utah Battalion Chief pinned by vehicle assisting at car accident

Draper Battalion Chief flown from scene in critical condition. According to a Draper city spokesperson, the Battalion Chief did not under go surgery and has no internal injuries do the the accident. A Fire Battalion Chief assisting on an accident scene on the side of I-15 was struck by a car. The Draper Firefighter and his team were on the side of south bound I-15 near 146th South when a driver lost control of his car and slid into the battalion chief pinning him between two cars. The Battalion Chief was flown by helicopter to the hospital in critical condition. Sgt. Nick Street with the Utah Highway Patrol says, at the hospital, "He's in surgery now folks on scene mentioned that he was talking at the scene so that's always a good sign. We're hoping just some broken bones and he'll be okay with some recover." We do not know the identity of the Battalion Chief who was hit but we will continue to follow this story for updates.
