Allentown’s firefighter union issued a letter threatening to pursue legal action against Mayor Ed Pawlowski as a result of his testimony Thursday. Pawlowski, who testified in his own defense during his federal corruption trial, said while under oath that he had his City Hall office swept for listening devices due to actions by the fire union. “We were really concerned because it seemed like everything privately that we talked about in my office, they would bring up as issues and have a counter response before we would even present it to them,” Pawlowski said of the union. “I thought it was something weird here. It’s not right."
