A firefighter suffered head trauma after a woman drove over a fire hose while Palmyra Fire Department was dispatched to the scene of a reported fire last week, police said. The department was dispatched at 4 p.m. Jan. 9 to 1300 Park Drive in North Londonderry Township for a report of a fire, township police said. According to emergency dispatch logs, the call was dispatched as a multiple-dwelling oven fire. A fire hose was laid in the parking lot of the apartment complex as part of the fire department's response, police said. Karissa Morder, 21, of Palmyra, was leaving the complex and ran over the fire hose, which cause her vehicle to drag the fire hose coupling, police said. As a result, the fire hose moved and knocked two firefighters to the ground.
