Boise Fire Capt. Rob Christensen listened to the victim count rise on his way to the scene of Saturday’s mass stabbing. Initially, his crew got the call for a stabbing, then he heard there were four victims and by the time he got there, he realized the crew of 11 Boise firefighters would be spread thin treating the nine victims. One of the victims, a 3-year-old girl, died Monday. The suspect, 30-year-old Timmy Kinner of Los Angeles, is charged with one count of first-degree murder and eight counts of aggravated assault, accused of stabbing nine people at a birthday party in an apartment complex near State and Wylie streets. “Basically I just updated my crew, I said, ‘We make it there and it may be divide and conquer,’” Christensen said. He said when he and the crew got there, the scene was spread out across the distance of what seemed like a football field. People were shouting in all directions in a multitude of languages calling for help. One young victim lay in the middle of the street.
