A group of Long Island firefighters landed in hot water for a massive brawl at a wedding party that left the groom injured, police said.
The melee erupted Saturday between attendees at a Hagerman Fire Department dinner and wedding party guests in the foyer of the East Wind Hotel in Wading River, NY, Riverhead town police said.
As many as 50 mostly drunken revelers started pushing, cursing and hitting one another, cops said.
The groom was punched in the face three times by three different brawlers and was one of four people who had to be taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center for treatment.
Cops collared First Assistant Chief Thomas Dunham, 55, on charges of resisting arrest and obstructing governmental administration and arrested Fire Lt. Corey Citarella, 29, on a charge of third-degree assault.
