VIDEO - A Sacramento firefighter is recovering at home after being pulled from the roof of a commercial building Wednesday. “Shock, disbelief a little bit,” is how Sacramento Fire Department spokesperson Capt. Keith Wade described the moment a fellow firefighter nearly fell through the roof of a children's store in the Arden area. The rescue is something fire crews train for but seeing it happen in real time makes it reality, Wade said. “When you know personally people involved and you’re seeing something happen in real-time that you can’t personally do anything for, it really hits home," he said. "It can swell you with some emotion." The fire sparked just before 6 p.m. Wednesday at Once Upon A Child, a children's apparel and toy store on the corner of Alta Arden Way and Howe Avenue.
