Fairbanks-area emergency responders participated in a mock disaster Wednesday as part of a statewide exercise that tests various components of a community’s emergency operations plan. Alaska Shield 2012 Continuity of Operations Plan is designed to test cold weather response, and Wednesday’s disaster scenario was one of several that will be enacted through the week.
