Three local Firefighters are paying their own way to go to the Firefighters Stair Climb in Seattle March 11, 2018. Sam Owen, Ryan Sims and Ryan McCormick are fundraising and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). Since 1949 LLS has been on the forefront of blood cancer advances such as chemotherapies and stem cell transplantation leading the way to the targeted therapies and immunotherapies that are saving thousands of lives today.
Own, Sims and McCormick will climb 69 flights of stairs (1,356 steps) of the Columbia Center in downtown Seattle while wearing full structural turnout gear.
