A mobile home on Boniface Parkway in Anchorage was destroyed in a fast-moving fire early Wednesday, officials say. A neighbor called 911 just after 3:30 a.m. from the Mayflower Circle Park, Anchorage Fire Department investigator Cleo Hill said. "The caller stated they heard a huge explosion and saw the trailer on fire," Hill said. The unit was under construction on the inside and not occupied, she said. The man working on the trailer wasn't there, according to one resident who called 911. "It was really intense. You can see right there where the window was, the glass just like flew out," Kee Feldt said at the mobile home court Wednesday morning. Insulation was still visible on the next unit over. Feldt lives next door to the unit that burned. Fourteen fire department units responded, Hill said.
