A local law enforcement officer and his family are now trying to figure out what’s next. A fire destroyed their home on Thanksgiving Day. Duane Scarborough was working the holiday on patrol. His wife and six kids were at family’s for dinner. He is also a volunteer firefighter in his neighborhood. Towards the end of his shift, he was getting pages for a fire call, but the address was his own. There was no saving the Columbiana home by the time firefighters got there. Now his family is starting over with the help of family and friends.
