Today, Baldwin County Commissioners are expected to discuss the possibility of purchasing a life saving device. It'd be used to help the Fort Morgan Volunteer Fire Department when responding to water rescue calls. The Swift Water Emily Emergency Rescue Buoy costs more than $14,000, but it's a purchase that could save lives. Right now 25 volunteer firefighters are facing the task of patrolling about 30 miles of Fort Morgan coastline. They're often solely responsible for educating visitors and saving lives.
