Russellville Fire Chief Joe Mansell said no matter what the temperature or conditions outside, when a fire call comes in, fire trucks have to roll.
“We can’t wait on warmer temperatures, we have to go, and usually a lot of our runs are in colder temperatures,” Mansell said.
With predications of snow, below freezing temperatures and negative wind chill temperatures, fire departments and other emergency personnel are preparing for what could be.
“It’s not so much getting to a call, but what happens after you get there,” said Florence Fire Chief Jeff Perkins.
