Cullman County Emergency Management Agency director Phyllis Little recieved the Pat Neuhauser Spirit of EMA award from the Alabama Association of Emergency Managers at their yearly banquet.
Little began her duties as EMA Director of Cullman County back in 2003. Since then she has taken the position to a whole new level, building stronger relationships with EMAs from other counties, and in addition, has developed a resource-sharing program for when disaster strikes.
"Emergency management as a whole, not just here, not just in the state, but across the country is the one agency that pulls together all emergency responding agencies," Little said.
She says she is honored to receive this award, as it is Alabama's highest EMA recognition.
