This week the Spanish Fort “Fire and Life Safety Summer Camp” kicked off. It's the second year the camp has been hosted by the Spanish Fort Fire and Rescue. The camp lasts four days, and each day is filled with fun activities for the kids. There the students learn valuable skills that apply in the real world. The lessons taught, are things like hands only CPR and how to escape during a fire. Wednesday, the kids attended the splash pad in Spanish Fort. There they learned how life flight works. The helicopter was provided by the Semmes emergency management.
