Gulf Shores Fire and Rescue have teamed up with the newly formed Gulf Shores Animal Care and Control Program and created a calendar that features local firefighters and, wait for it, kittens.
All proceeds from the $15 calendar will help fund efforts by the volunteer group dedicated to dealing with the feral cat population in Gulf Shores by implementing a TNR (Trap Neuter Release) Program, the most effective and humane way to deal with "community cat" colonies. A similar program in Orange Beach has already proven effective.
