Officials say residents of a Falkville nursing home will have to be moved following an HVAC fire Tuesday morning. Fire Chief Tyler Tucker said units were sent to Falkville Health and Rehab Center (FHRC) around 2:20 a.m. on Tuesday. The units found moderate smoke in the central nurses’ station on the second floor. However, workers at the scene told News 19 there was no fire. Smoke was isolated to the second-floor HVAC system. All second-floor patients have been evacuated, and our crew on the scene was told all residents of the floor will have to be moved due to smoke damage. Officials are saying no injuries have been reported. An investigation is ongoing.
