Fire officials in Texarkana, Arkansas are trying to determine what sparked a duplex fire Sunday night.
The fire broke out just before 11:30 p.m. in the 3300 block of Rice St.
When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found the 2-story duplex fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters from Texarkana, Texas also assisted in extinguishing the blaze.
Officers on scene say a mother and child lived inside one of the units. They were able to escape safely.
The building was heavily damaged as a result of the fire, but no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
