Crews are investigating an early morning fire in east Paragould.
According to Paragould Fire Chief Kevin Lang, crews were called to the fire along the 2200-block of East Kingshighway at an apartment building around 2:30 Monday morning.
Lang said it didn’t take long for crews to bring the fire under control.
“It took up 30 minutes to get a good knockdown where we felt like we had it under control,” Lang said. “I feel the front section is going to be fine, but they’re not gonna be able to inhabit the rear of it.”
At one point, a large part of east Paragould was filled with smoke.
Lang said there were no injuries reported and everyone did get out safely.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
