A wanted man burning boxes in the Tracy area of Old Military Road started a fast-moving fire Monday that threatened several homes.
Joseph David Young, 36, of rural Mountain Home, reportedly left the scene of the fire after being told to stay there by a Baxter County deputy.
Deputies made phone contact with Young, who returned to the scene with his teenage daughter. Young was arrested on misdemeanor warrants and released from the Baxter County jail after posting bond for charges including criminal mischief and violation of a burn ban.
His teenage daughter was arrested on outstanding warrants and turned over to juvenile authorities, according to a news release from Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery.
