Emergency crews have returned to the scene of a house fire in Elkins, after flames rekindled in the early hours of Monday morning.
Officials say the call originally came in around 8:30 pm Sunday night on Stokenbury Road. When crews arrived, they were able to put out the flames, but the fire started back up again hours later, prompting crews to return. The Washington County Fire Marshall tells 40/29 News that no one was hurt, but the house is a total loss.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
