The Farmington Fire Department has greatly reduced its response time.
For the first time in its history, the Farmington Fire Department now has firefighters on duty 24/7. With the city's increase in growth, the department receives more calls, meaning they need someone available at all times.
"It takes a team to run the firehouse and protect the city." Farmington Firefighter, Martin Peters said.
Fire Chief Mark Cunningham has been a member of the Farmington Fire Department for 35 years.
"When I first got on I believe we had 208 people in the city. For me to see the city grow the way it's grown over the years. It's helped me grow the fire department.
