Russellville Fire Department extinguishes vehicle fire threatening structure

At 1:47 p.m. Monday afternoon, January 22, the Russellville Fire Department responded to 1509 East Main Street on a report of a vehicle fire. After receiving a 911 call reporting the blaze, Pope County dispatchers requested the response of RFD Engine 1 and Battalion 1. As firefighters checked en route to the call, dispatch offered them updated information. Upon receiving a second call reporting the fire, the call was upgraded to a “vehicle fire threatening a structure.” RFD Engine 1 firefighters located the vehicle that was parked to the rear of the address and next to a warehouse.
