On Monday, the Wynne Fire Department hosted an aerial operations class to provide their firefighters with a better understanding of their ladder truck.
The training program helps the officers know where they can and cannot put the truck and its limitations, ensuring citizens’ safety.
This is a mandatory five-day training program for firefighters in Region 8 to get educated and enhance their skills.
According to the fire chief of the city of Wynne, it is crucial to be prepared to protect the community to the best of their ability.
“It’s important for us because if we’re not prepared to protect our community, we can’t do that to the utmost ability so any opportunity we get to educate we try to,” said Chief Kory Ward.
He believes that education is the key to achieving this goal.
