A tornado touched down in Hot Springs during the overnight hours on Wednesday, knocking out power and throwing trees onto houses and vehicles.
The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for Garland and Hot Spring counties around 12:30 a.m. Central. Although the tornado is currently unconfirmed, the Hot Springs Fire Department said roads are "mostly impassable," including Lakeland Road, which has heavy damage.
There are also unconfirmed reports of injuries in the Hot Springs area because of the storm.
