Three occupants of a vehicle that rolled over on Copper Basin Road were called "fortunate" by the Prescott Fire Department. The three - two men and one woman in their 20s - were westbound in the 1000 block of Copper Basin at around 2:30 a.m. Sunday when their vehicle left the road and rolled, shearing off two elm trees in the process, paramedic/firefighter Conrad Jackson said in a press release. They told firefighters they had not been wearing seat belts at the time but curtain airbags did deploy, Jackson said. They suffered minor injuries and were evaluated by Prescott Fire personnel but refused treatment or transport to the hospital, he said. Police are investigating whether alcohol played a part in the accident. PFD encourages the use of seat belts to help keep injuries from accidents minor and help reduce the likelihood of occupants being thrown from a vehicle as it rolls, Jackson said.
