VIDEO: Sun Lakes and Chandler firefighters battled a late-night house fire with explosions in the East Valley. The incident happened shortly before 11 p.m. on Thursday in the area of Riggs and Dobson roads. Brian Curry of Sun Lakes Fire Department tells ABC15 there was heavy fire involvement to the structure when they arrived on scene. The situation was complicated by explosions occurring from contents burning and the extreme heat. Chandler firefighters assisted Sun Lakes firefighters to bring the fire under control. The cause and extent of fire damage is not immediately known. There were no reported injuries to residents or firefighters.
