For more than 20 years, the Peoria Firefighters Charities (PFFC) has been collecting toys and hand delivering them to Peoria homes. Last year, with the generous support from the community, they collected nearly 1,000 toys and delivered them to more than 250 children. Toys are collected and sorted by age and gender, then brought to Peoria homes the day before Christmas. A firefighter Santa and the City’s antique fire truck make the rounds each year to deliver the toys. More than 25 businesses around the city have partnered with the PFFC to donate toys and put out collection boxes for public donations.
