Firefighters say a Good Samaritan's quick thinking saved a resident's home Wednesday night. According to reports, a woman was driving down the street when she saw the back of a neighbor's home on fire. The homeowner says the woman pulled over and ran to knock on the door and inform him of the fire. Yuma Fire Department officials say the homeowner was able to quickly get out, call 9-1-1 and begin extinguishing the fire with a garden hose. According to firefighters, the homeowner's actions may have saved his home. He was able to start putting out the flames before they spread to the attic; and fire crews were able to quickly contain them when they arrived on scene.
