VIDEO: Southern Arizona firefighters are heading to northern California to help battle the deadly wildfires. Northwest Fire Department firefighters will be joining Green Valley, Rio Rico and Rural Metro firefighters as those representing southern Arizona as California officials request more boots on the ground. A group of five firefighters from Northwest Fire Department are getting ready to join the more than 8,000 firefighters already in action across California, one of them is Chris Dawson. “You're always nervous,” said Dawson. “The first thing that goes through my head when you get the call out is my wife and kids and how they’re going to be when I'm gone.”
