Peoria Police and Fire-Medical departments, in partnership with Dignity Health, bring together family fun and safety education in one place, as they host the 2017 G.A.I.N. Public Safety Night 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 14 at Pioneer Community Park, 8755 N. 83rd Ave. Kids of all ages will enjoy the chance to get an up-close look at police cars, fire trucks, specialty emergency vehicles and equipment. Safety organizations will also be out with displays offering to show how to keep you and your family safe. However, you cannot learn if you are not having fun, so there will be free bouncy activities, face painting and even more kid friendly activities, making this a great night for the whole family. The event is free to all members of the community.
