Another Bullhead City fire station is going solar. The fire district’s governing board voted Tuesday to accept a $75,000 grant from Mohave Electric Cooperative. The grant will pay for a photovoltaic solar power system at Fire Station No. 6, at Clearwater Drive and Marina Boulevard. Scott Neal, the BHCFD’s assistant chief for logistics, said the department will put out a request for qualifications, seeking the vendor who can provide the best system for that amount. He said the fire department will not have to put forth any matching contribution.
