One person was transported by Somerton/Cocopah Fire Department ambulance to Yuma Regional Medical Wednesday after the car she was an occupant in crashed into a water-filled canal near Somerton. The incident happened, according to Fire Chief Paul De Anda, at approximately 12:24 p.m. at County 15th Street and Avenue C .
