The Nutrioso and Alpine fire district boards have approved the expenditure to hire the Executive Director of the Arizona Fire District Association, John Flynn, to conduct a feasibility study for a possible consolidation of the two districts. The Chair of the Nutrioso board, Ed Coleman, said the study is tentatively scheduled to take place in mid-January of 2019. The two treasurers of each board have already done some footwork toward that study, working on budgets, revenues, expenses, assets, liabilities and other things related to the move. They will then forward this information to Mr. Flynn, who also who handled the transition and consolidation of the White Mountain Lake Fire District into the Timber Mesa Fire and Medical district. That consolidation was completed in recent weeks.
