With all the toy drives and other fundraisers for kids this time of year, senior citizens can sometimes be overlooked. That was not the case in Arizona City when the Arizona City Fire District worked with the kitchen staff at Duffer’s Restaurant to deliver more than 55 dinners for seniors living in Arizona City. All the seniors chosen were shut-ins and had no one to spend Christmas with. Duffer’s food suppliers Sysco and Merrit’s donated the food. Duffer’s owner Scott Waddle and kitchen manager Chris Oliver spent Christmas morning cooking and preparing the food.
