After over 30 years of service, Prescott Fire Department Captain Les Roberts is retiring. His final shift was today, Tuesday, and will end Wednesday morning at 8am. He was hired in September of 1987 and was among the first paramedics on the department. He has been a Captain since 2001 and an active member of the region’s technical rescue team. When asked of his most memorable call during his long and storied career, he described without hesitation of saving the life of a 14-year-old asthmatic female who had stopped breathing and was turning blue. The quick actions of he and his crew saved the child.
