VIDEO: A house fire broke out Wednesday morning in Phoenix after the homeowner used a torch to clear away weeds from hard-to-reach areas around his home, according to the Phoenix Fire Department. Moments later, the homeowner noticed smoke coming from the attic of his house, which is near Peoria and 19th avenues. When firefighters arrived, brown smoke was coming from the roof. According to the Phoenix Fire Department, an early investigation noted the cause of the fire to be accidental and suggests that the embers from the burnt weeds got into the attic and started the fire. No injuries were reported, but two people were temporarily displaced during the fire.
