An elderly couple in Scottsdale is in the hospital after they were exposed to a dangerous amount of carbon monoxide likely caused from a running car. Firefighters were sent to a home near Shea Boulevard and Loop 101 for a hazardous situation just after midnight on Tuesday. When crews arrived, the man was found unconscious from carbon monoxide and the woman was very weak, firefighters said. They were both transported to a local hospital. The man may require a hyperbaric oxygen chamber to recover, firefighters said.
