VIDEO: Tucson Fire Department units transported an elderly female this morning to Banner South Campus after she was stung over 100 times by a swarm of bees near the 4600 block of East 26th Street. According to crews on scene, the elderly female went outside to check on her dog and was attacked by the swarm of bees. It appears that the bees had found refuge underneath a shed on the property. It took Firefighters over 45 minutes to control the swarm due to the hidden location of the swarm. Firefighters used foam and water to exterminate the bees through a hole that was located at the bottom of the shed. The elderly female is in stable condition but her dog was not found on scene.
