Crews establish fire line around small blaze near Blue Ridge Ranger Station

Crews have successfully established an initial containment line around a wildfire burning near the Blue Ridge Ranger Station. The fire has burned about 13 acres, according to Forest Service spokeswoman Jean Gilbertson. Crews were able to catch spot fires that jumped beyond the main fire and line those as well, according to Gilbertson. 1:45 p.m.: Wildfire burning near Blue Ridge Ranger Station. Crews are responding amid Red Flag conditions to a wildfire on the Coconino National Forest that has broken out this afternoon just south of the Blue Ridge Ranger Station off Forest Road 136 west of Highway 87.
