A female pedestrian was killed Saturday after a car struck her and then crashed into a Tucson McDonald's drive-thru, smashing into a second vehicle waiting for a fast-food order, police said. Tucson police Sgt. Pete Dugan said the driver of a gold SUV was traveling northbound on Kolb Road, which turns into Grant Road at Tanque Verde Road, when he lost control of the vehicle while accelerating through the intersection. The driver then ran over the woman waiting to cross the street before careening through a wrought-iron fence surrounding the McDonald's property, police said.
